New Patient Journey
Every patient begins with an Initial Consultation, where we explore your fertility, hormones, cycle health, symptoms, and metabolic patterns in detail.
This session allows Dr Ryu to understand your unique physiology and create a targeted plan to improve reproductive function and overall wellbeing.
1. Understanding Your Full Picture
During your first visit, Dr Ryu will:
-
- Review your menstrual cycle history
-
- Explore ovulation patterns, luteal function, PMS, pain, spotting
-
- Discuss past fertility tests, IVF cycles, miscarriages or pregnancies
-
- Assess energy levels, stress, sleep, digestion, temperature patterns
-
- Identify metabolic signs that influence fertility and hormones
-
- Understand male partner factors (if relevant)
This holistic assessment is essential for tailoring your plan.
2. Reviewing Any Relevant Investigations
If you have prior test results (AMH, FSH, LH, thyroid, vitamin D, semen analysis, ultrasound), Dr Ryu will incorporate this into your assessment.
She will explain how these factors interact with your fertility and hormonal health.
3. Creating Your Personalised Plan
Based on your goals and timeline, your plan may include:
-
- Acupuncture to regulate hormones, reduce inflammation and improve uterine/ovarian function
-
- Herbal medicine tailored to metabolism, temperature patterns and cycle function
-
- Nutritional guidance to support glucose handling, mitochondrial health and stable energy
-
- Stress and sleep optimisation
-
- Male-factor support (if relevant)
-
- IVF/FET preparation or post-transfer support
Every plan is tailored to your physiology and your fertility stage.
4. What to Expect in the First 3 Months
The first month typically focuses on:
-
- Stabilising energy and metabolic markers
-
- Improving sleep and stress resilience
-
- Regulating cycle length and flow patterns
-
- Supporting ovulation quality
-
- Improving uterine lining and blood flow
-
- Reducing PMS, pain or inflammation (if present)
Most patients begin to feel shifts in energy and cycle quality within 3–6 weeks.
5. Follow-Up and Ongoing Care
Follow-up sessions allow Dr Ryu to adjust your plan as your body responds.
Frequency depends on your goals:
-
- Trying to conceive naturally: weekly or fortnightly
-
- Preparing for IVF: weekly
-
- During IVF / FET: twice weekly around stimulation, transfer or implantation window
-
- DOR / low AMH: weekly FastTrack support
-
- Menopause: every 2–4 weeks
Your journey is monitored and adapted continuously.
