Consultation Fees
Treatment here starts from mechanism, not from a diagnosis label. Fertility and endocrine problems are usually downstream of something further upstream — energy production, insulin regulation, thyroid function or inflammation — and the first consultation maps what is driving yours, rather than treating the surface symptom.
Fees fall into three groups, and every fee includes VAT:
- Fertility, endocrine & metabolic care — consultations, acupuncture and herbal medicine
- Pain & structural conditions — assessment and treatment
- Functional lab testing — tests, each with its interpretation
Fertility, endocrine & metabolic care
Book an Initial Consultation if you are a new patient with any of: male or female natural fertility · IVF support · endocrine and metabolic issues, PMOS (PCOS), thyroid · challenging menopausal transitions.
This comprehensive first visit allows a full review of your health history and previous treatments, plus an in-person examination.
If you have relevant reports or letters from your doctor or clinic, please upload them to your patient portal at least 24 hours before your initial consultation so they can be incorporated into your evaluation.

Treatment is usually planned as a course. Where a course is prescribed at your consultation, a treatment package is available and is agreed with you then.
New to IVF support?
For IVF support we generally suggest 10–12 acupuncture sessions across the two to three months before transfer.
Already started? It’s not too late
Many people first reach us once stimulation has begun. Even then there is meaningful work to do — we tailor a condensed schedule to the time you have.
Transfer-day support only
Already having IVF and want pre- and post-transfer acupuncture only? This includes a brief consultation and assessment — so we understand your history and your IVF journey — and two sessions on the day of transfer, or within 24 hours either side. Book once your transfer day is confirmed.
Herbal medicine
Herbal medicine is dispensed only if clinically indicated during your consultation.

Pain & structural conditions
For an injury or other painful condition, no initial consultation is needed. These sessions focus on muscular, skeletal, or acute neuropathic issues, combining acupuncture with manual medicine as appropriate — corrective movement and soft-tissue work.

Functional lab testing
We offer functional lab testing to measure the terrain beyond standard bloods. Testing is recommended after your initial evaluation, and every test includes Agnes Ryu’s personal interpretation and recommendations. Payment
We accept all major cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express. Bank transfer and international payments are available. International patients default to card for GBP settlement.
Private Health Insurance. Agnes Ryu is a provider with several private health insurers, and treatment is reimbursable under many health cash plans. Cover varies by policy and employer scheme, so if you plan to use your insurance, please check with your insurer and obtain any pre-authorisation before your first appointment. We do not bill insurers directly: you pay at the time of your appointment and we provide a receipt with the details your insurer needs.
Cancellation
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged at 50% of the booked appointment fee, and non-attendance without notice at 100%. Where a cancellation arises from a genuine emergency or exceptional circumstance, please tell us — these charges may be reduced or waived at our discretion. If you arrive late, we will treat you for whatever remains of your booked time, and the full fee remains payable. The full terms are on our Terms & Conditions page.
