Disclaimer
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This disclaimer applies to the Dr Ryu Natural Medicine website (drryu.co.uk), including our articles, schedules, downloadable resources and any other published content. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
General information only
The information on this website is provided for general educational purposes. It describes our clinical approach and the reasoning behind it. It is not medical advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
Reading this website, downloading a resource, or contacting us does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. Individual advice is given only within a consultation, after we have assessed your particular situation.
Always seek professional advice
You should always seek the advice of your GP or another suitably qualified health professional with any questions about a medical condition, your medication, or before making changes to your treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read here.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest emergency department immediately.
The nature of our approach
Dr Ryu Natural Medicine practises complementary and natural medicine, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional therapy and physical treatment, alongside conventional medical understanding. These approaches are used to support health and wellbeing and, where appropriate, to complement — not replace — conventional medical care.
In the UK, acupuncture and herbal medicine are regulated through professional-body membership rather than statutory registration. We are a member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture UK (ATCM), membership number FM0200004, and practise in accordance with its professional, safety and ethical standards. We hold professional indemnity insurance and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration ZB955106).
Outcomes are not guaranteed
Responses to any health intervention vary from person to person. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular result, including in relation to fertility, IVF support, or endocrine and metabolic health. Where we describe what the research shows, we aim to represent it honestly — distinguishing established physiology from areas where the evidence is still emerging — rather than offering reassurance the evidence does not support.
Research, references and external links
Where we cite studies or link to external sources, we do so to help you understand the reasoning behind our approach. We are not responsible for the content of external websites, and a link does not imply endorsement. Scientific understanding evolves, and published content may not always reflect the very latest research.
Testimonials
Any patient comments or testimonials reflect individual experiences. They are not a promise or prediction that you will have the same experience, and they should not be taken as typical or guaranteed results.
